Division of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
Albany Medical College
Albany , NY 12208

University Ear, Nose & Throat of Northeastern NY, LLP is comprised of otolaryngologists who, in addition to holding Attending Staff privileges at Albany Medical Center, are on staff at Albany Medical College. We are an accredited residency site for ten Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery residents (two each year for five years). The first year of residency is spent as a General Surgery Resident at Albany Medical Center. Over the next four years, the residents receive their training in the office setting, as well as Albany Medical Center, St. Peters Hospital and the VA Medical Center.

In addition to the otolaryngology residency program, we also provide education and training in conjunction with Albany Medical College's 3rd and 4th year students. Third year students have a required clerkship in our department where they work side-by-side with our residents and staff physicians to learn the basics of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Fourth year students have an option to spend an extended period of time to gain additional exposure to the details of otolaryngology. These students quite often choose to specialize in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery as a career.

Students from St. Rose College who are majoring in Speech Therapy receive clinical experience by shadowing our doctors to learn more about Otolaryngology.

All of our residents and medical students also spend time at the Veterans' Administration Medical Center providing medical care to veterans and military patients. We have two residents assigned full-time to the VA, as well as medical students who rotate there during their assigned clerkships.
